Seventeen years ago Val and I bought our first deep sea sport-fishing boat, it was 42 ft. long. I had been flying over and into Baja California since 1956 and knew just about every air strip down there. But I wanted to visit some of the smaller villages and do some extensive deep sea fishing and diving. It was a dream come true to run the Sea of Cortez in our own boat. We, and our friends, liked it so much that we decided to get a larger boat. So we bought a 58 ft. yacht fisher that had plenty of room for everyone.

Most boats are given women's names and most of those names have been used many times. We wanted a name that would be easy to identify by short wave radio and the Coast Guard and still be colorful so we picked Valentina, which is a popular name in Mexico and just happens to be my wife, Valentine's name in Spanish.

The rest is history cruising and diving the Sea of Cortez down the Gold Coast of Mexico. Where the water is sapphire blue and full of the wonders of the sea, like coral reefs which house beautiful sea creatures and tropical fish. Where whales and fields of dolphin play in the cool clear waters, and where once in a while you can see schools of bright orange squid. a water wonderland.

The Valentina is a fully equipped 58 ft. Daytona, yacht fisher, with room for six, it has three air-conditioned bedrooms and three baths. A large salon area with bar and additional sofa-bed, and upper lounge deck, a fishing well with lots of storage and bait tank, and front sun deck for taking in the rays and spectacular views. She is equipped with full scuba gear and is ready to fish.

What more could you ask. *****Valentina now lives in Gig harbor Washington*****
